In May 2022, I launched Sheep’s Pass Photography, focusing on family and children’s portraiture. It was joyful at first, but over time, something shifted. I found myself disconnected from the spark that brought me to photography in the first place. Coming from a career in cancer biology, I had made the leap into creative work as a response to the upheaval of COVID. But what I needed next wasn’t just a career change. It was a full reclamation of self.
I began to ask myself bigger questions about who I am, what I want and how I want to be seen.
I realized I want to be seen as Stacey – creative, brave, powerful. And I wanted my photography to reflect that not just for myself, but for other women as well. So I stepped back. I got quiet. I listened to my own story. And I followed that voice into something new.
What started as a “lady boss” test shoot turned into something transformational.
Hearing women open up about their journeys – into business, into motherhood, into rediscovering who they are – sparked courage in me. I realized I wasn’t just pivoting my business. I was evolving alongside the women I was photographing. Their confidence was contagious. I knew then that this was the work I was meant to do.

I believe you don’t need to change to be beautiful. You just need to see yourself differently.
That’s what boudoir and branding photography mean to me. It’s far from portrait photography for women over 40. It’s not about becoming someone else. It’s about coming home to yourself. I’ve lived that transformation. My goal is to help you do the same whether you're a mom, a business owner, or a woman still figuring it all out. You are already enough.
"Stacey is a total gem! So friendly and makes you feel right at ease, which is so important."
